  • OVERVIEW

    CAD-LITE

    Computer Aided Dispatch System

Build in partnership with Snohomish County 911, one of the largest and busiest 911 centers in Washington State. DEVBLOCK has developed a solution built to the exacting standards of first responders. CAD-Lite provides a sophisticated solution for managing mobile resources in response to your agency’s emergency needs. This solution has been built to be fully localized, scalable, and securely hosted in the cloud which means there is no software to install and the system can be accessed by any authorized user from any location. This system is used today as an emergency backup system and has a vision to become a primary system for a smaller agency. CAD-Lite is the only CAD that has been 100% built to the exacting standards of a 911 agency for 911.

  • KEY FEATURES

    COMMAND LINE INTERFACE (CLI)

Dispatcher operation is too dynamic and fast paced to work effectively in a traditional point-and-click UI, requiring a configurable CLI framework

CAD-LITE uses over 200 CLI commands, specifically configured to simplify each step in the process of dispatch operations

    CRITICAL UPTIME & ACCURACY

Real-time delivery of data to users and “zero-loss” messaging/operations.

    • Instantaneous, loss-less relay of call taker information to dispatchers is the primary feature
    • Facilitating a complex set of role-specific operations views as the next most-critical feature

    CROSS CENTER OVERFLOW SUPPORT

The ability to “share calls” with other 911 Operations Centers, a feature that is unique in the industry

    CONFIGURABLE,
    ROLE-BASED UI

The entire UI is configurable by an administrator through a JSON-based template system. The user selects the template applicable to their role to render role-specific views

    INTEGRATED MAP VIEW

Integrated map view contains county location and POI overlays

    REAL-TIME ALERTING

Notifications, visual alerting systems, and customized color schemes identify critical information delivery

    IMPLEMENTATION

  • IMPLEMENTATION

    SERVERLESS

To ensure zero-cost operations when not being actively used, CAD-LITE is implemented in a Serverless stack, ensuring instant scalability

    • AWS API Gateway + Lambda
    • AWS Aurora On-Demand Serverless MySQL
    • AWS S3 Static Website

    PUBLISH/SUBSCRIBE

To perform event broadcast and VERIFIED data delivery, the Solace Publish/Subscribe framework was implemented

    ADVANCED WEB UI

Web based UI is comprised of complex data table views

    CLOUD HOSTING

Hosted on the AWS GovCloud environment

    CASE STUDY

  • CASE STUDY

SOLVING FOR SNOHOMISH COUNTY 911 OPERATIONS

A dispatch agency in the third-largest county in WA State (pop. 900k)

    THE OBJECTIVE

Effectively support 911 Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) operations when primary dispatching system is offline

    THE PROBLEM

Frequent primary 911 dispatching system outages and maintenance has historically required manual (“paper and lego”) operations, which are slow and error-prone

    THE SOLUTION CREATED

SNO911 engaged Devblock to implement a CAD system capable of operating independently of their primary system, and available at any networked location, in the event of a “bug-out” scenario

    USE APPLICATIONS

  • USE APPLICATIONS

    PRIMARY USE

CAD-LITE is well-suited for primary computer aided dispatch applications

    • Ideal for call centers with up to 12 call-takers / dispatchers

    SECONDARY/BACK-UP USE

Implementation as a back-up system to your primary platform is ideal in cases of...

    • primary system outages
    • overload during broad emergency situations
